This vinegar-based barbecue sauce works just as well as a mop as it does a table sauce. This recipe is very similar to the sauce served at the famous Wicker's BBQ from Missouri.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups apple cider vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  • 2 1/2 teaspoons salt

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar

  • 4 teaspoons chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

  1. Gather the ingredients.

  2. Combine all ingredients and cook for 5 to 10 minutes to dissolve spices.

  3. Remove sauce from heat and let cool completely before using (about 20 to 25 minutes). Use as a marinade and basting sauce with your favorite BBQ recipe.
