Grilled Asparagus

By Derrick Riches, About.com

Boiled asparagus can be a waste of flavor. Grilled however, is a different story! This recipe is for a basic method for grilling asparagus that makes it taste better than boiled. Asparagus should be firm and crisp, not soft and mushy.

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound asparagus

Preparation:

Cut off dry ends from the asparagus, soak in cold water for 30 minutes. Place on clean grilling surface (careful not to let them fall through) until ends begin to soften. Turn (or roll) perpendicularly across the grill. Be careful not to over cook or to let the outside burn. Serves four.
