Grilled Teriyaki Turkey Burgers

This melt in your mouth Asian style turkey burger can be eaten with or without a bun.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground turkey, uncooked
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup water chestnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup orange marmalade
  • 2 tablespoons onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds

Preparation:

Combine bread crumbs, egg, water chestnuts, onion, and 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce in large bowl. Add turkey to the mixture and form into 3/4 inch thick patties. It should make four.

Preheat grill. Place patties on grill rack, cover and cook on medium heat. Patties should take anywhere between 12-14 minutes to cook.

While patties are cooking, combine marmalade, remaining teriyaki sauce, and sesame seeds in a saucepan. Cook on low heat until marmalade melts, making sure to stir often. Spoon over patties and eat with or without burger bun.
