Grilled Asian-Style Turkey Kebabs

By Derrick Riches, About.com

Turkey breast is a versatile, low fat cut of meat. You can do just about anything with it. Serve these kebabs over rice with a nice peanut dipping sauce.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 large turkey breast, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1/3 cup white wine, preferably dry
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • skewers

Preparation:

Place turkey pieces into a shallow glass dish or resealable bag. Combine remaining ingredient and pour over turkey. Cover and allow to marinate for 1-3 hours. Preheat grill for medium heat. Remove turkey from dish or bag and reserve marinade. Thread turkey onto skewers. It should fit about 5 per skewer. Place onto grill and brush with marinade several times during cooking process. Stop brushing with marinate at least 5 minutes before cooking is complete.
