These steak
sandwiches make the perfect
tailgating meal.
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 pound boneless sirloin steak, 1 inch thick
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 6 hoagie buns
- 3/4 cup salsa (thick works best)
- 1 medium avocado
- 6 slices Colby-Monterey Jack cheese
Preparation:
Preheat grill. Sprinkle both sides of the steak with the spices. Place on grill and cook to desired doneness (about 8 to 10 minutes). Place buns on grill, cut side down to toast. Remove steak and slice crosswise into thin slices. Spread about 2 tablespoons on the bottom of each bun. Top with sliced beef, avocado slices and cheese.
