Bourbon Rib Eye

Gary Merrill sent in this recipe for a marinated rib eye steak. The sugar in this marinade helps to caramelize the surface of the steak and give it a delicious flavor. Remember to grill it hot and fast.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

Yield: Serves 4


  • 4 12-ounce rib eye steaks
  • 1/2 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard


Combine all ingredients except the steaks. Mix well. Place rib eyes in a large resealable bag. Pour marinade over top. Seal and refrigerate for several hours.

Preheat grill. Remove steaks from marinade and grill over a hot fire until done.

Too much oil, Member abain1985

Too much oil and mustard, much better if you halve them. Also after marinading them, i lightly dusted them in sugar and grilled them
