Soak Corn Husks

Dried corn husks need to be softened before you can work with them. Place them in a large pot or in your sink and fill with water. Since the husks will float, weigh them down with a plate or whatever you have on hand. The corn husks will take at least an hour to get sufficiently soft to work with. I like to let the soak more than two hours just to be on the safe side.
