Herb Turkey Rub

Herb Turkey Rub

Regarding BBQ Inc.
This savory wet rub is perfect for turkey. The combination of flavors with a touch of acid carry these herbs into the meat. Make sure you get the rub under the skin to get the flavors to the meat.

I'll never use another rub after this!, Member rose_hoppe

This rub was fantastic. I added fresh sage to the blend of rosemary & thyme herbs (also fresh), increased the olive oil and the wine a tad - had a 22 pound bird. I used this rub for a holiday potluck at work - my job to make the turkey. I got so many compliments from using this rub and the leftovers lasted just over a day - long gone before all the other leftovers. I did use the white wine, and the worcester, but not sure if I added the vinegar... think not tho. Stuffed the cavity with 1 lemon, 1 lime and a whole onion. Lifted the skin thoroughly on top and bottom and placed the rub under the skin. Baked raised in a low lipped roasting pan with about 1 or 2 cups of chicken broth in the bottom. Also tented the bird after about an hour. Really important to let it defrost very slowly in the fridge for several days if you're purchasing a frozen bird. Helps to keep more of the juices in the bird that way.
