Tandoori Rub for Fish or Chicken

This rub will give fish or poultry an authentic Indian flavor that is as colorful as it is tasty. This rub is a little spicy so if you want to reduce the heat, cut the cayenne in half.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Yield: Makes about 1/2 cup


  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 tablespoon coriander
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne


Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container.

Loved this rub!, Member gadgetgeek

I made this rub for my chicken tonight and loved it. I only used about 1/2 of the cayenne pepper for my wife and kids. The rub was still a little spicy, but my most picky daughter loved it. I will definitely make this rub again!
