Prime Rib Rub

This is a great spice rub for a standing rib roast. The combination of the pepper and cinnamon gives this an almost sweet, yet spicy flavor.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Yield: Makes about 3/4 cup

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons white pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground thyme
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoons onion powder

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container, in a cool, dark place. This rub will stay good for up to 6 months.

Great Rub, Member phudrodr

It was a sweet offering to a great piece of meat. The rub was not too over powering and yet added a bit of flavor, that only enhanced the taste of the meat.
