JR's Basting Sauce

From Tanya

This is a great mop, or basting sauce for poultry or pork. It makes a large batch so you might want to cut it down to size or store some for next weekend. This mixture will stay good in the refrigerator for several weeks.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 quart apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 6 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper

Preparation:

Mix all ingredients and bring to a rolling boil. Cover and let mixture cool completely. Use this with any recipe that calls for a basting sauce.
