Grilled Buffalo Burgers

These grilled burgers are not only delicious, but simple to make. Serve on top a deli roll or burger bun with your favorite condiments. Remember that Buffalo is a lean meat so don't over cook it.

Prep Time: 12 minutes

Cook Time: 8 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

Yield: Makes 4 1/4-pound burgers

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground buffalo meat
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • hamburger buns

Preparation:

Preheat grill for medium high heat. Shape meat into four 1 1/2 inch thick patties. Season each patty with salt and pepper and place onto grill. Brush the top side of patties with barbecue sauce and allow to cook for 4 minutes. Turn burgers, brush with sauce again, and allow to cook for an additional 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat, assemble burgers, and serve.
