Here is a recipe for a hardy and flavorful sausage Po'Boy grilled sandwich with a fantastic mustard-mayonnaise.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
- 4 hot Italian sausage links
- 4 sub sandwich buns
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 1 small red onion, sliced
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 5 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 4 tablespoons light mayonnaise
- 1 clove garlic minced, optional
- 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce
Preparation:
Preheat grill for medium heat. Mix mayonnaise, mustard, garlic and hot sauce in bowl. Set mixture aside. Place sausage on grill and cook for 18-20 minutes, turning occasionally. When browned and fully cooked, remove from heat and split each sausage down the middle. Slather mustard mixture onto sandwich buns, add garnish, and place sausages on last.
