Deep fried turkey started as a Cajun dish and the first step is an injection marinade. This traditional recipe gets mixed up and injected directly into the turkey. Make sure that you mix this marinade well before you load it into the needle. If you are deep frying this turkey wipe off any excess marinade before it hits the oil.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup liquid crab boil
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Tabasco
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Heat until butter is melted. Stir and continue heating until sauce is very liquefied. Inject while still hot enough to stay liquid.
