Rotisserie Cider Ham

By Derrick Riches, About.com

This is a deliciously sweet yet mildly tart grilled ham recipe.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hour, 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 6 pound ham, fully cooked
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/4 cup apricot preserves
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 10-15 whole cloves

Preparation:

Stud ham with whole cloves. Place the ham on your rotisserie spit and place on the grill over a medium to low heat. Cook for about 13 minutes per pound or about 1 hour for a 5 pound ham. Combine preserves, mustard, brown sugar, and apple cider in a small bowl. When the internal temperature reaches about 150 degrees, begin brushing with apple cider mixture. Brush with mixture every 15 minutes during cooking process. When done, carefully remove ham from grill and rotisserie. Carve and serve.
