Wine Basil Burgers BBQ'd or Fried, Member Joseph_P.

I really enjoyed the basil burger. I am fortunate enough to live in Phoenix, Arizona where the climate is ideal for all types of basil. My plants normally grow about 4 feet and stay bushy year long. The next time you want to add a a little extra to your burgers -either BBQ'd or fried try this... In a squirt bottle container ( I use the joggers water bottle) mix an equal amount of your favorite brand of Worcestershire sauce with your favorite label of Cabernet Sauvignon wine. Feel free to experiment with the ratio--I prefer the 50/50 mixture. While the burgers are cooking squirt a generous amount of the mixture to the meat. Turn the burgers and squirt again. You can also use this in place of grease and it's healthier! The aromatic smell as well as the added taste is wonderful to savor all year round.
