Guide Review - KitchenAid 27 inch Gas Grill (Model #KFRS271TSS)
The 27 inch gas grill is KitchenAid's smallest unit of this line. It is available in a number of configurations including on cart (pictured) on as an insert. This two burner unit puts out a lot of heat. The design gives it a professional cooking experience with high, even heat. Included is a rear mounted 15,000 BTU infrared rotisserie burner.
A unique feature of this grill is the "hot surface" igniters. Basically an electrically heated contact point, like the glow plugs of a diesel engine, light the burners without a spark. KitchenAid promises that these are more reliable than conventional spark igniters.
KitchenAid has a full range accessories to go with its grill line. Many of these can be added to a freestanding cart or custom grill island. Accessories include warming drawers, refrigerators and other outdoor kitchen appliances. You can swap out one of the standard burners in this unit for a high output sear burner.
