The Bottom Line
This is Char-Broil's do everything grill. If you get it with the side burner and buy the optional rotisserie kit with rear mounted burner you really could do most anything with this grill. You get a griddle and deep dish (if you pick the right model) as well as three cooking grates. The options however don't necessarily make up for the uneven heating from the small and underpowered burners.

Guide Review - Char-Broil Big Easy 8000
One of the most annoying habits of Char-Broil is to produce a grill, give it a name and then sell a wide range of models under that name. There are about five versions of the Char-Broil big easy. The one I am referring to is the three burner unit with side burner and swappable deep dish and griddle cooking surfaces. There are other Char-Broils with this name
Anyway, having said that this isn't that bad of a grill if you are looking for a large full sized grill with lots of grilling space. If you really want to be able to heat rice, soup of deep fry on your grill as well as fry an egg then you want to make sure you get this specific version of the Big Easy. I like to grill lots of different things and find these accessories a nice touch. The large cooking area and decent heat output makes for pretty good grilling especially for under $400. Of course I suggest you search for the sales, because this unit is on sale a lot.
The biggest problem with this grill is that this large grilling area is heated by three small button shaped burners. This makes for an uneven heating that can give you headaches if you want to grill up a large amount of something, like 30 burger patties at once. The minimal vaporization barrier provided by the small "smoker tents" means a lot of grease falling through the big holes in the bottom and the need for a lot of cleaning. They also do very little to spread the heat.
