Guide Review - Brinkmann Pro Series 2300 Gas Grill
This model has been discontinued. As far as a basic grill under $350 goes this isn't all that bad of a unit. It has a large (636 total square inches) cooking area and a basic grill design. This unit is a basic gas grill with 12,000 BTU side burner. The problems that I see are first that the grill is underpowered. With an area this size you should have a higher BTU rating. Also the three burner design leaves this grill with an uneven grilling surface. At this price you should get a better grilling grill.
The overall construction of this unit is weak. You get the standard cast aluminum grill body but the cart is weak and a little flimsy. Of the features on this grill the only one I like is the cast iron burners. They should last for several years. Take care of the cart and you should get a few good years out of this grill. Also the fine construction means this unit doesn't hold in the heat very well adding to uneven heating and limited high temperatures.
I have received several complaints about support with this grill. It would appear that Brinkmann is working to improve support only recently adding online information about its gas grills. The only thing I can say is that you get what you pay for so don't expect a lot out of this unit.
