Guide Review - BBQ Pro 22-inch Combo Stainless Steel Gas Grill Review
This grill has been discontinued. K-Mart (now merged with Sears) has stopped importing full sized gas grills under this brand name. The BBQ Pro name is one that K-Mart has used for many years. This year it had been placed on a line of low end gas grills. The manual says the grill is supported by a company called Omaha Grills. Unfortunately, a company by this name doesn't exist. Omaha Grills is a trademark owned by the Victory Land Group who is an importer of Chinese products for mass market merchants like Wal-Mart and K-Mart. So yes, this is another Chinese manufactured gas grill.
The strong part of this grill is that it uses 304 stainless steel for some of the body parts like the lid and control panel. The overall construction is weak but the parts are pretty good. The burners, both side and main, are a lower quality and won't likely last the 10 years of the manufacturers warranty. It is hard to say how good this warranty is since I am unable to find the name of the actual manufacturer.
What you get is 36,000 BTUs (fairly standard) under roughly 374 square inches of primary grilling space. A little low but not too bad. The cooking grates are low weight porcelain coated cast iron. The problem with them is that the porcelain coatings are prone to cracking and therefore the grates will rust. There are three models of this grill of which this one is the least expensive. Consider this grill a better quality Char-Broil.
