Kirkland Signature Stainless Steel Gas G

Kirkland Signature Stainless Steel Gas Grill

Costco

The Bottom Line

This is a nice, shiny gas grill built by Nexgrill for Costco and sold under the name Kirkland. At nearly $1,000 this grill has a lot of features including a god quality cast brass side burner. It also comes with a full rotisserie set including infrared burner. However, as impressive as it looks the over all construction is weak and I've received complaints about assembly problems and the overall quality of the grill. For as much as this unit costs it should be built better.

Pros

  • Full functional grill with side burner and rotisserie
  • 304 stainless steel construction
  • Heavy stainless steel cooking grates
  • Heavy cast brass side burners
  • Cover included

Cons

  • Limited quality construction on the cart
  • Low BTU output for the size
  • Exclusive through Costco
  • Low weight stainless steel burners

Description

  • Three 17,000 BTU stainless steel burners
  • 51,000 BTU main burner output
  • 896 square inched total cooking area
  • 12,000 BTU cast brass side burner
  • 10,000 BTU rear mounted rotisserie burner with full kit
  • Heavy stainless steel cooking grates
  • Large storage are with two pullout drawers
  • Ceramic briquette on stainless steel tray barrier
  • Electronic igniters
  • Smoker box

Guide Review - Kirkland Signature Gas Grill by Nexgrill

This grill has been discontinued. Its closest replacement is the Kirkland Signature Stainless Steel 4-burner.

This grill really looks nice. The stainless steel is nicely polished and the unit is large (there is a larger one for about $1,300). There is a lot of cooking space, a side burner, a smoker box, full rotisserie with rear mounted infrared rotisserie burner and even a cover. This is another Chinese imported stainless steel grill that looks great and provides a lot of features. It even has ceramic briquettes in the barrier to help even the heat and vaporize drippings.

The problem with this grill, like many of this type, is that a lot of attention has been paid to the appearance and the features. For the size this grill should produce more heat than 51,000 BTUs from its three main burners. But the biggest problem is the same with many of the Kirkland grills, the assembly is weak. I know several people who are perfectly happy with these grills, I have also heard stories of this unit being returned for assembly mistakes that caused big problems. The cart construction is not great and detracts heavily from the overall unit. At nearly $1,000 one should really get a better built grill.

On the plus side there is a full cover for the grill so you don't have an excuse to let it sit out in the elements, Also, Costco has been very good about taking returns and supporting this grill. Unfortunately, you shouldn't have to rely on the return policy for a grill.

Kirkland Signature Grill model 720-0108, Member davidprescott

Low quality construction, not enough BTU for proper cooking with a grill of this size and cost. Disappointed Cosco did not test grill before offering it to its members.
