Kenmore Elite 750 5-Burner Gas Grill Model #16661

Kenmore Elite 750 5-Burner Gas Grill Model #16661

Sears Brand LLC.

The Bottom Line

This is a full feature gas grill with side burner, sear burner and infrared rotisserie burner (rotisserie kit not included). The side burner is the standard Char-Broil (who makes this grill) side solution burner that works as a side burner, griddle and steamer oven. The 52,500 BTUs of its main burners isn't a lot of heat for the size but its close. This grill is a mixture of poor quality stainless steel and porcelain coated materials. At around $800USD (though the sale price is typically $700USD) this grill has a lot of competition from better quality grills and you would do well to look for those grills.

Pros

  • Full feature gas grill

Guide Review - Kenmore Elite 750 5-Burner (Model #16661)

This model has been discontinued.

If I were to go to all the expense of putting in an infrared rotisserie burner on a gas grill, especially one costing around $800USD, I would include the rotisserie kit (rod and forks). Unfortunately Sears (or Char-Broil) didn't include it with this grill so in addition to the full price of this grill (you can get it on sale for around $700 most of the time) you will have to pay another $35USD for the rotisserie kit (and another $30 for the propane tank). This is just one of the shortsighted thinking that goes into putting a big shiny gas grill on the floor or a Sears showroom (or the floors of a lot of stores these days).

This Kenmore Elite gas grill, built by Char-Broil in China has all the bells and whistles. You get a four burner grill with sear burner, rotisserie burner, and a large side burner unit that includes a griddle. It's actually hard to think of what else could be added to this grill. Unfortunately to put all these features on this grill come at the cost of quality materials. If you don't believe me grab hold of the lid on the side burner unit. Lift and twist. See how it bends? That's the solid quality of this $800USD gas grill.

This is one of many similar grills that you could do much better than. I suggest you look for a better grill.
