There are a growing number of people out there who want to grill but don't have the space or the need for a full sized gas grill. This grill has a small footprint (side tables fold down to make it even smaller) but offers a full sized cooking area with three burners. While there are no other extras, if you are looking at this grill you probably don't want them anyway. If this grill was built with good quality, higher heat output for the size, and a better handle this would be a great choice. Unfortunately this grill suffers from many of the same faults of other mass market grills, cheap construction.

There really is a need for a grill like this. Small in size, but still offering the grilling experience of a full sized gas grill. Maybe someday someone will do it at a quality level and with the kind of engineering that consumers deserve. Unfortunately this grill, like so many offered by the major retailers falls short of that. I know what happens to cause these problems. Marketers sit down and decide on the size and features of a grill, pass it on to designers who draw up the blueprints, and the whole thing gets shipped off to China for the lowest bidder to built it.

Want to see how little quality control and product testing went into this grill? Grab the handle tightly. Now go looking for a band-aid. The handle on this grill fits the design of the grill but puts sharp edges under your fingers. The handle also gets hot if you leave the grill running too long. Almost a surprising fact given how low the heat output of this grill is. Anyway, if you have this grill make sure you grab the handle with a towel or oven mitt once the grill is hot. If the designers of this grill had actually used it they would have noticed this problem and changed the handle.

What I will say about this grill is that it isn't necessarily a bad product. I'm sure that you could get a couple of years use out of it, particularly if you keep it clean and covered. If it fits your need then you might want to consider it. You might also want to consider just getting a portable grill. This grill lists for around $250USD but is typically on sale (like most things at Sears) for $238USD.
