Grilled Elk Steaks

Though high in protein and flavor, elk meat can sometimes be tough. Try marinating these steaks overnight to help tenderize the it.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 12 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 elk steaks
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • 2 tablespoons red wine, optional
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced

Preparation:

Place elk steaks in a shallow pan. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over steaks. Cover meat and allow to marinate in refrigerator for 6-24 hours. Preheat grill for medium heat. Place steaks on grill and cook each side for 6-8 minutes. When meat is cooked to your liking, remove from heat and serve.
