Marinated Swordfish

By Derrick Riches, About.com Guide

This marinade uses yogurt to help hold the seasonings in place. While this recipe is for swordfish you'll find this is a great marinade for any kind of fish.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 pound swordfish steaks
  • 8 ounces plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 4 tablespoons fresh dill, minced

Preparation:

Mix all marinade ingredients. Place in a zip-top bag. Add swordfish. Turn to coat. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Remove swordfish from marinade and discard the marinade. Grill over medium heat, turning several times, about 10 minutes a side, depending on the thickness of the swordfish. I just test for doneness by seeing if a small portion flakes off.
