Chile Lime Sauce


This chili lime sauce is a great side sauce for dipping everything from pork kebabs and chicken tenders, to topping fajitas.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

Yield: Makes about 1 cup


  • 2 small green serrano chiles, seeded and chopped finely
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/3 cup chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro (coriander leaves)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


Combine all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth. Be careful handling the chilies. Pour into a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Serve warm.
