Take Out Style Rotisserie Chicken
Love that rotisserie chicken you get at the store? Well this is even better because you make it fresh, season it to your liking, and you get to watch it cook. Maybe I should call it "Better Than Take Out Style Rotisserie Chicken".

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 45 minutes

Total Time: 1 hour, 5 minutes

Yield: Serves 4 to 6

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole fryer chicken
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • seasoned salt to taste

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients, except the chicken of course, in a saucepan over medium heat. Mix until honey is completely melted and mixture is smooth. Clean and prepare chicken for rotisserie. Baste chicken with sauce and place on rotisserie on preheated grill. Cook for about 45 to 50 minutes at a temperature around 400 degrees F basting occasionally with sauce. When done remove from grill and wrap tightly in foil. Let sit for about 15 minutes, then carve and serve.

pretty decent, Member metromanbw

I would crank up the heat near the end to crisp up the skin, and I brined my chickens first w/ peppercorns and thyme. Took about an hour at 350 on my weber spirit, very juicy - recommended.
