New England Buffalo Wings

By Derrick Riches, About.com

These hot and spicy chicken wings combine the sweetness of maple syrup with a good hot chili sauce. Of course you can choose a mild sauce if you want, but the hot-sweet flavor is really what makes these wings stand out.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 16 chicken wings
  • 2/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2/3 cup chili sauce (hot or mild depending on preference)
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper

Preparation:

Preheat grill. Combine maple syrup, chili sauce, vinegar, mustard and garlic salt together in a saucepan. Let simmer for 5 minutes. Brush chicken with the oil and season with garlic salt and black pepper. Place chicken on grill and over a medium heat cook for 10-15 minutes or until tender. Turn occasionally and brush generously with sauce.
