Apple and Honey-Mustard Chicken Breasts

By , About.com Guide

The combination of the apply jelly, mustard and honey that this chicken marinates in, makes for a fantastic glaze. Keep as much of this thick marinade on the chicken as possible. This recipe is also great for the smoker.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1/3 cup apple jelly
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Preparation:

Place chicken breasts into a zip-top plastic bag. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over chicken. Seal bag and place into refrigerator for 2-4 hours. Preheat grill for medium high heat. Remove chicken from bag, reserving marinade. Place onto grill and brush with marinade. Allow chicken to cook for 10 minutes, turn, and baste again. Cook for an additional 10 minutes. Discard remaining marinade. When juices run clear and chicken is no longer pink in the middle, remove from heat and serve.
