Rotisserie Chicken - Removing the Chicken

Removing the Rod from the Chicken

Removing the Rod from the Chicken

Regarding BBQ Inc.
Using your hot pad or glove loosen the fork screw on the fork opposite from the handle and slide off the fork. Now the chicken is free to move. Holding the chicken on the platter or cutting board slowly pull the rod from the chicken. The lemon we put inside will stay with the chicken and you can remove it before you start carving. Before you start carving let the chicken rest for about 5 minute to let the juices flow back to the meat. Once this time is up carve the chicken as normal.

One last point of advice. You have been cooking a whole chicken indirectly on your grill. Dripping from this chicken have been falling into your grill without burning off. It is a good idea to light up the middle burner and get this burned off or next time you go to use your grill you might end up with a pretty big flare-ups.
