Guide Review - Char-Broil Quickset 30,000 BTU
This grill has been discontinued. It is replaced by the Char-Broil Quickset 26,500 BTU Gas Grill. There isn't a lot to say about this grill. It is not a good grill, but if you can't afford better or simply want something for the summer and don't really care what becomes of it, this this is the grill for you. If you try to keep it clean and actually take care of it, you might get two years out of it. That means you're spending about $55USD a year on the ownership of this grill (propane tank not included). For some people this makes perfect economic sense. Yes, the disposable gas grill, but in an era when thousand dollar gas grills may not last you three years, this isn't a bad way to go, provided you don't mind the uneven cooking and nearly constant flare-ups.
One note on the burner in this grill. Yes, it is stainless steel, low quality stainless steel and, well, foil. Yes, stainless steel foil. Please don't press on it or let acid marinades collect on it. The replacement will cost you about $25USD, but it is a very cheap and fragile burner so if you buy this grill, baby the burner.
