Garlic Soy London Broil

By Derrick Riches, About.com

This flank steak (the traditional steak of London Broil) is marinated in a thick, almost Asian style sauce. The secret to making sure that this steak turns out tender is to marinate it overnight. All you have to do is grill it hot and fast and it will be perfect.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 pounds flank steak
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients, except the steak, in a small bowl. With a sharp knife, score the surface of the steak(s) in a diamond pattern about 1/8 inch deep. Coat with mixture and wrap in foil. Refrigerate overnight. Preheat grill and grill over a high heat until done, about 3 to 6 minutes per side.
