Tomato-Jalapeno Beef Ribs

A tender, mildly spicy, delicious Beef Ribs recipe.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 2 hours, 00 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Sauce:
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup jalapeno jelly
  • 1/2 cup dry red wine
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • For Ribs:
  • Beef ribs, 4 to 5 pounds, cut into 3 to 4 sections.
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

Preparation:

To prepare sauce, combine all sauce ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil until jalapeno jelly dissolves. Remove from heat.

Let ribs stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before grilling. Coat ribs with salt and pepper and sear over direct medium heat for 10 minutes. Place ribs in deep baking dish and add sauce. Cover dish securely with aluminum foil and grill over indirect medium heat for an hour. Remove foil and grill meat for an additional 45 to 60 minutes. When done, remove ribs from sauce and cut ribs into individual servings. Serve with sauce on the side.
