The garlic burger is a quick and delicious burger patty that uses ingredients already in your pantry. For a fast weekday meal or impromptu get together, consider these delicious patties.

The simple additions add lots of flavor to your hamburger. Your family and guests will think they are having one of the best burgers ever. You can serve them the classic way on hamburger buns, or as a low-carb option in lettuce leaves to make lettuce wraps.

The recipe calls for ground chuck, as opposed to lean ground beef that you see specified in other beef recipes. Ground chuck has a higher fat content, and that makes it the preferred meat of choice for burgers because it has the most flavor. Ground chuck is 80 to 85 percent lean and 15 to 20 percent fat. A lot of the fat is rendered when the hamburgers are cooked on the grill.

The flavors of this burger patty also lend themselves well to slicing the patty into strips and serving it in pitas with yogurt sauce, much like a gyro.

If you prepared more hamburgers patties than you need, it is best to cook them all at once right away, omitting the cheese topping. Store leftovers in the fridge and use them within a couple of days.

There are many ways to use the leftovers. You can cut them into strips to beef up a grilled cheese sandwich, tuck them away with diced tomatoes in an omelet, or use for cheeseburger soup. Leftovers also make a great taco filling. Or crumble them onto pizza with other toppings before baking to make cheeseburger pizza.
