Lean meats are healthier for you and your grill

Lean meats are healthier for you and your grill

By Derrick Riches, About.com

Unless you need it for a specific recipe or dish you should always use leaner cuts of meat when you grill. Not only is it healthier for you but leaner meats are easier to grill and better for the long-term health of your grill. Fatty meats cause more flare-ups. These fires can burn your food and present a challenge when grilling. Also grease, falling into your grill, particularly a gas grill, create wear and tear on metal parts. You want to reduce the grease falling on burners and metal parts as much as possible.
