What are you cooking for the big game?

By January 29, 2014

Follow me on:

According to the Hearth, Patio and Barbecue Association, Super Sunday is the most popular winter grilling day of the year with as many as 62% of grill owners planning on firing up for the big game. This means that a lot of you are planning on hitting the grill before kick off. Question is, what are you going to be grilling (or smoking) this year. There are favorites that I just can't get away with out, like my hot and spicy brined chicken wings. Of course the big one tends to by any number of varieties of sausage from simple hot dogs to brats. So this week's question is about what you plan to make. I've tried to list some of the more popular items but if you don't find your menu item here, hit the comment button at the bottom and tell us:

POLL: What are you cooking for the big game?

3) Pulled Pork
4) Ribs
5) Brisket
6) Chicken
7) Chili
8) Sandwiches

I’m cooking an 8 lb prime rib on the charcoal Weber using an electric rotesserie. The Wife’s making her killer mac’n cheese. I’ve only got five people showing up so this should be just enough. I hope!

I plan on seafood. Grill up some shrimp and fish. Maybe steam some clams. Add a few veggies. Doesn’t get any better.

I’m doing wings and ribs.
But I also have a tradition of having lox, bagels, cream cheese, capers, red onion and Harveys Bristol Cream every year during Superbowl. Sometimes I even invite my Jewish friends next door. LOL.
