How important is it where a product is made?

In the last couple of weeks I've been asked by a couple of different manufacturers how important to consumer is it where something is made. Of course this is a passionate issue and many of the people who say they care don't always put their money where their mouth is. But in these days, when buying local gets a lot of media attention and people are looking for local produce or other local goods I thought I would ask:

POLL:How important is it where a product is made?
1) Very important, closer to home the better
2) Important, I'll pay extra for my countries products
3) I'll buy my countries products if I don't have to pay extra
4) I don't care, just give me the best price
