As we get into the Dog Days of Summer and that means many people will forgo lighting the grill or smoker because its just too hot. Of course there is no better way to cook a meal without heating up the house than by taking the menu outdoors, but still even I get a little hot under the collar on days like these when tending the fire. So this brings us to this weeks question:
POLL: Too Hot to Cook Out?
1) Doesn't affect me
2) I'll suffer but I won't cut back
3) Give me a cold one and I'm fine
4) I'll fire it up but I'm staying in as much as possible
5) I cut back during the hottest times
6) I'll wait for nightfall
7) I'll wait for fall

It’s never too hot (or cold) to cook out! I may not eat outside, but I’ll cook out no matter what!
I’m with phil on this one, if it’s too hot find some shade i.e. actually it’s never to hot, unless you live in Death Valley.
I grill year round and unless it’s raining so hard that I have to take the weber to the garage Isee no problem with how hot it is besides I live by the moto … BBQ if you can’t stand the heat could you at least get me a beer !!!
I was just joking about this the other day. I think my “grilling season” is the opposite of retails grill sales season.
I do alot of smoking in the summer but not as much grilling. I can do most of my smoking from inside the house in the ac. I just have to run out and add some wood to the fire once in awhile and the rest of the time is spent inside.
Once football comes around and its not as hot outside I start grilling alot more. I love me some football(all versions) and i will grill both Saturday and Sunday..and eat any leftovers all week
I found that the grillbrella which allows the use of an umbrella at your grill makes it a heck of a lot more comfortable. They are on you tube.
