My good friend Chef John has done a number of videos for my site over the years and not only runs the American Food site here at About.com but has a great video food blog called Food Wishes. Recently he did a video and recipe for Game Hens that is definitely worth taking a look at. Not only is John a great cook, but he is a very funny guy.
This is something of a heads up for those of you in the New York area (which I am not) via Clint Cantwell's Smoke In Da Eye blog. Clint focuses his time on barbecue competitions and knows most of the top competitors as well as what's going on behind the scenes. This weekend Clint will be hanging around the Big Apple BBQ Block Party and offers up this entry so you can get more information on just what might go down in New York over the next couple of days.
John Dawson has been working hard to take true barbecue west for many years. His Patio Daddio BBQ Blog is one of the best going and recently what he is calling Pizza Steak Sandwiches. These are a meal all by themselves and even come with a serving of vegetables.
