Eggtoberfest is an annual gathering of Big Green Egg fans (aka Eggheads) from all over the world sponsored by the
Big Green Egg Company at their Tucker, Georgia headquarters. The company rolls out over 200 brand new large eggs so people can cook pretty much anything they please. From poppers to ribs to apple strudel. Since the event goes from morning to afternoon you can literal wander around and have breakfast, lunch, and dinner without stopping in between. This has been a great chance for me to catch up with a lot of people from the fine folks at Big Green Egg, Ray Lampe (aka
Dr. BBQ), their national spokesperson, Brad Barrett of
Grill Grate, Todd Gentry of
FireWire, Mike Waitley of
GrillTenders, and of course the legions of Eggheads out there who were perfectly willing to stand around in the rain and 50 degree temperatures to talk about their favorite cookers.
Thanks go out to Big Green Egg, particularly Jodi Burson, and to Donna Myers for having me out for this great event.
