What's your favorite BBQ Side Dish?

Wednesday June 3, 2009
I know that this is the kind of questions that can cause fights, but I thought I would throw it out there anyway. Any chef will tell you that what you server with the main dish is often as important (or sometimes more so). Of course side dishes are largely regional, but as Barbecue spreads around the world these traditions are bound to change. So imagine that you had to choose a single side and tell me what you would order when you belly up to the window to get your tray of barbecue.

POLL: What's your favorite BBQ Side Dish?
1) Beans
2) Cole Slaw
3) Potato Salad
4) Brunswick Stew
5) Corn on the Cob
6) Corn Bread
7) Something Else (please leave a comment)

MY FAVORITE BBQ SIDE DISH IS GRILLED ASPARAGUS AND BROCCOLI. PUT THEM IN A ZIPLOCK TO MARINATE IN OLIVE OIL OR COLD PRESSED GRAPE SEED OIL AND SEASON WITH YOUR CHOICE. I PREFER SOMETHING SIMILAR TO A PRIME RIB OR BRISKET RUB. BBQ OR SMOKE UNTIL IT IS COOKED TO YOUR DONE PREFERENCE.
