You may know that Cookshack makes some of the best electric smokers on the market. You may even know that they teamed up several years ago with Ed "Fast Eddy" Maurin to produce the popular Fast Eddy pellet smokers for the competition barbecue circuit. What you probably didn't know is that they also produce a line of commercial cookers. Today Cookshack announced that they are introducing something truly new, the Cookshack Charbroiler. What makes this product revolutionary is that it is the first commercial charbroiler powered by wood pellets.

Of course you are probably not going to run out and buy one of these (unless you own a restaurant), but what makes this new product important to you and me is that it takes pellet cooking to a whole new level. Pellet cookers and smokers have occupied a narrow segment of the outdoor cooking market keeping pellets out of the hands of many people. Pellets are made from real hardwood and impart an authentic smoke flavor to foods cooked over fires burning them. Pellets are made from waste wood from mills and factories, are completely natural and perfectly safe. This makes them a fantastic fuel for barbecue and grilling and anything that can make that portion of the market bigger is fine by me, so congratulations to Cookshack for this new and innovative product and hopefully we will all get better access to pellets and pellet cookers in the near future.
