"A quick plug for Weber Customer Service, for folks considering a grill purchase.

I spent part of last weekend doing a top-to-bottom clean of my Weber Summit Platinum D6 (natural gas). I've really enjoyed this grill since I purchased it in 2004. I was disappointed, though, that 4 of the 6 main burners had several of the gas holes (not sure what they are called) plugged with rust. I scrubbed with a steel brush and steel wool and could only unclog some of these.

I called Weber, and the very helpful woman on their customer service line expressed her apologies for the situation and is sending a complete set of new burners and crossovers, "just in case." I didn't expect the stainless steel burners to rust at all, let alone so soon, as I clean and cover my grill regularly. Nonetheless, I am delighted that their customer service came through.

Thought some of you considering grill purchases might find this useful."
