"Calling all Kenmore Gas Grill Owners! I just purchased the Kenmore 5-burner gas grill. I've already cooked some burgers and dogs on it and it was great! However, since it didn't come with a Rotisserie kit I bought the Char-Broil Premium Rostisserie Kit. This was suggested to me by the in store rep, Sears, that it would fit my Kenmore 16237...NOT! The hardware the comes with the motor have that screws aren't long enough to fit all the way through the firebox walls.

Did anyone else find another kit that fits the grill better? I might pay my local hardware store a visit and try looking for longer screws. If anyone is using the same kit for the same grill, what brackets did you use?-as the kit comes with different ones. Any help is much appreciated."

No luck onmy end trying to get a rotisserie. Here’s the review I just posted on the sears site:

I purchaesd Kenmore grill # 16237 from a store a few months ago. It was very important to me that the grill have a rotisserie attachment, so I pruchased that as well. However, the one that was sold to me does not fit (07115803000) (even though the box says it works for 5 burner grills)
I went into the store yesterday, and they couldn’t help me, but suggested that I order the part from your website. Well, the website doesn’t have the correct part, so I thought I’d try calling.
I was told to “try back in the spring” (it’s august now, apparently I need to stop grilling as this is the end of the season)
I asked if I could get the part number so that I could try and find the rotisserie on ebay or something, and was told to try back in the spring.
I again asked for the part number, and was told that it was sold out, and because of this, no one could find the part number. If that’s the case, does the part number for the wrong rotisserie show up on the web site? It’s sold out.
I was then told that I had purchased a great grill and that I should be happy until the spring, and that she was fully confident that in the spring the part would be available because “there’s so much lawn and garden stuff then”.
Sorry, but I’m skeptical as to whether or not this part exists, or if it does, that it will be available in the spring. By the way, I live in California, and grill 12 months a year, so this business about the spring is a bit ridiculous.
Does anyone in the company know if there is in fact a correct electric rotisserie accessory for my grill?

I also purchased 16237, and thought it would be no problem getting a rotisserie. . . Wrong! I will not go into detail on all the problems I have had with Sears Service, but I am currently waiting for a call from Sears to come and pick up the grill. It has been desaster personified! It is a shame that such a fine product could not be supported by professional service. I have had it. No more. Endit! PS: I also tried to buy a grill cover – No luck. . .

I also am experiencing the same problem. The person at the Char-broil parts department suggested the Char-broil universal. That says that it is for 4 burner.

You can try the Char-Broil Ultimate Rotisserie. They say that this is for their 5 burner grill. It may be long enough for yours. I went through the same problem with my grill that the rotisserie it recommended on the box was to small.

Oh, no! I just bought a Kenmore gas grill with 5 burners, and the store rep told me that the rotisserie and cover would be in by the next Thursday (now two weeks ago), but they weren’t… and I haven’t been able to find it online or in any Sears store. This is very disappointing. Has anyone tried another rotisserie that works with it?

I have a similar problem with the 5 burner grill with the side sear. I believe that I have found a part at clagrills.com. It is part #CLA-AU0008. It cost about $10 with a $4 handling fee,

I received the part and it fits the grill. It appears to work.
