New Stuff: Backyard Warrior's Fork it Over / Mikey's Marinade

Backyard Warrior's Fork it Over: A while back I was talking with Marti Winkler about her new BBQ Fork. Now to look at this thing you'd think it was the fork of Attila the Hun. If you look at the picture you will see that it looks like three forks in one and basically it is. I know what you are saying, that piercing meat with a fork will let moisture out and dry out your meat. If you have any experience with grilling, you will know that unless you are tenderizing a steak with a machine gun while cooking, that this just isn't true. What you don't want to do is dig deep into meat and this fork lets you avoid that problem. The side "hooks" on this fork let you quickly and easily grab onto a piece of meat (not ground or too delicate) and flip it over without piercing deep into the meat. This is a great tool if you are cooking a lot of meat at once because the work flow is simple and quick. I've really found mine to be a great tool for the grill.

Mikey's Marinade: I got a few bottle of this marinade a while back and have used them up on a wide range of meats (and a few vegetables). This is a simple marinade that doesn't have an overpowering flavor. With the popularity of marinades these days there are a lot of products on the market. Unfortunately, many of these commercial marinades tend to be of the opinion that you should taste the marinade, not the meat. Mikey's Mariandes (now in several different flavors) don't overpower, they enhance. This marinade is perfect of beef and makes a good steak great without any effort at all. I don't use many store bought marinades, but this is one I use and enjoy.
