My new gas grill

Wednesday October 18, 2006
Gregor Writes:

"I purchased a new gas grill this spring... a Napoleon Prestige II. I spent alot of time checking out all brands of gas grills & features over several months and I decided to spend the bucks for a "good" grill that would last me for many years. I've used Webber charcoal for all my life and it has been a big change.

I must say after spending over $1,500 of my family's limited funds I've never been so disapointed in my life. The ease of use is great, I love the radiant rotisserie, but I can't get it hot enough to really sear my meat. I opted not to buy the radiant burner because of the cost and how much room it took up and now I'm regretting it. Is this just something that goes with a gas barbeque or is it the model I bought. Anybody have any suggestions?

I've asked several times, both at the manufacture and at the shop where I purchased it, in Sacramento, CA, about modifying/upgrading the grill by installing the radiant burner, but it's like I fell off the end of the earth. I've never received a reply to either e-mail or phone calls."
