I’ve looked and looked and today is the first time I found this. Check it out.

Supposedly a Canadian company owns Vermont Castings now. I purchased a DutchMaster wood burning fireplace insert. This is a Vermont Castings product. The squirrel cage blower worked without rattles for about two years. The blower started to make a rattle so loud that the nearby TV had to be cranked up so a deaf person could hear the sound by body vibration. The sealed motor could not be repaired. I bought a new blower for an outrageous price of $254(US). In less than a year the new one is still making the same noise. I was told by the dealer, Mainline, Ashford, CT that the motor was again defective. The dealer was not very sympathetic and made little attempt to resolve the problem. My message is DO NOT BUY VERMONT CASTINGS. It may be owned by a Canadian company, but I’m sure the stoves are made by 12 yr olds in China. They are pure junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!
