Weber D6 Quirks

"OK, I am the proud owner of a summit D6, after looking too many times at Vermont's and Napoleans.

A couple things I dislike on it so far though:

The grates move front to back about a 1/4 inch, which is real annoying when you are brushing them as they bang loudly back and forth. I see them wearing through the porcelain coating eventually. Should they be this loose? They are the stamped stainless ones. I might try to find a SS rod that I can cut to fit to take up the slop. I wonder if Napolean grates would fit, or could be trimmed down to fit.

The rotissorie bar squeaks where it rests on the grill. My frineds DCS has a nifty set of ball bearings to support the rotisserie rod, anyone made something like that up to use? DCS wants an outrageous amount of many for a couple ball bearings and a small piece of SS to mount them on."
