"OK... so I got some apple wood recently. I know it's not seasoned but it doesn't appear to be too green. My question is, "is there a problem with using green wood for smoking?" Wiill the finish product be tainted?? What are your thoughts? I've got a BBQ coming up and would like to deviate from the standard hickory and mesquite that I use."

Did you find anything about using green apple wood, or did you try it? I thinking about using also, but was already told by a couple people that it makes a wthick white smoke that can taste bitter.
