Smoking ribs on my new weber grill
"I smoked a slab of ribs on my new weber genesis C last nite and they turned out very well. Here is how I did it. I 1st used some Butt Rub I covered it with them and put them in a plastic bag and put in fridge for 3 hours, overnite is better but I was short on time. I basically used Tom's method the 3-2-1, im sure you have heard of that method. Here is what I did. I soaked some apple wood chips and put that on the back burner on the flavorizer bar, I also got a metal cake pan cut up some onion, put in a can of bud light and filled the rest with water, I laid that under the ribs, I then got the smoke rolling and I put the ribs in a rack above the cake pan. I cooked them like that with only my back burner on low at a steady 200 degrees for 3 hours, I then took them off, wrapped them in foil and poured another can of bud light over them to keep them moist, I put them back on the grill for another 2 hours, took them off again and coated them with Famous Dave's Texas Pit bar b que sauce. I took them off the grill and enjoyed them with yet another can of bud light ha ha. Everyone thinks you need a smoker to do this, yes a smoker might do a better job but I thought they turned out very well just using my weber genesis. I don't do alot of smoking so this will suit my needs just fine."
